Page Numbering Problems.

I’ve been trying to transfer text set out in chapters from an A4 manuscript to a KDP 5 x 8 manuscript template. However, when I copy and paste from A4 into the 5 x 8 template, my page numbers behave strangely. Generally, when transferring, the page numbering is fine in the template up to page 124; then after that, it returns to page 1 when it should be page 125. I’ve tried deleting all page numbers from the template and redoing the page numbering, but it didn’t work. Same problem. I wondered...
